Phone numbers
Keep your number, or use a new one.
Two simple ways to put Aether Voice on your calls. We handle the setup either way.
Two options
Choose what suits your business
Keep your existing number
Your customers keep ringing the number they already know. Calls are forwarded to Aether using your phone carrier's call forwarding.
- Nothing changes for your customers
- Forward every call, or only when you're busy or don't answer
- We help you set it up
Use a dedicated Aether number
Aether runs on its own number alongside the one you have now, which suits a separate line for enquiries, a website or an advert.
- Fully separate from your existing line
- Nothing to change with your carrier
- We set it up for you
Forwarding
How forwarding works in practice
- 01
You keep your business number
It stays with your phone carrier, exactly as it is today.
- 02
Calls are forwarded to Aether
You choose when: every call, only when you're busy, or only when you don't answer.
- 03
Aether answers and takes the details
Callers speak to your receptionist and everything lands in your dashboard.
Charges
What it costs, and what it doesn't
Covered by us
The dedicated Irish phone number, its monthly rental, and the initial setup and configuration are all covered by Aether.
Your carrier's charges
If you forward your existing number, your own network provider may charge for call forwarding. Those charges are set by them and are outside Aether's control. We'll recommend the most cost-effective supported setup to keep them as low as possible.
Your plan
Calls handled by Aether use the call minutes included in your plan. See pricing for the allowances.
Not sure which option is right? Tell us how your phones work today on the intro call and we'll recommend one.
