Terms of Service

These terms cover use of the Aether Voice AI receptionist service and this website. By starting a trial or a subscription you agree to them.

01The service

Aether Voice is an AI receptionist configured around your business. We build the agent, connect it to the call handling you choose, and maintain it while your subscription is active.

The service is currently in beta. Some capabilities described on our website are marked as coming soon and are not yet available. You are only charged for the plan you subscribe to, and no plan depends on a feature that has not shipped.

02Trial

  • The trial runs for seven days and includes €10 of call credit, roughly 25 minutes of call handling.
  • No payment details are required to start a trial.
  • The trial ends automatically. It does not convert into a paid plan unless you choose one.

03Plans, billing and minutes

  • Plans are billed monthly in advance and include a set number of call minutes.
  • Minutes used beyond the included allowance are billed at the rate for your plan.
  • Unused minutes do not roll over.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month, and we do not refund part-months.
  • The setup fee is waived during the current promotional period. We will tell you before that changes.

04Your responsibilities

  • The information you give us to train the agent — services, hours, pricing, policies — must be accurate.
  • You are responsible for the call routing you configure on your own phone line or carrier.
  • You must not use the service to make unsolicited marketing calls, or for anything unlawful.
  • If your sector has advertising or professional conduct rules, you remain responsible for meeting them in what the agent says on your behalf.

05What the agent will and will not do

The agent is built to stay inside the information you give it. Where it does not know something, it says so and takes a message rather than inventing an answer. It is not a substitute for professional advice in any regulated field, and it should not be configured to give any.

06Availability

We aim to keep the service running continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability during beta. The service depends on third-party providers for telephony, speech and language processing, and an outage at one of them can interrupt call handling. Where we can, calls fail over to your own number rather than being dropped.

07Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business or lost opportunity arising from a missed, mishandled or interrupted call.

08Data protection

Where we handle calls for you, you are the data controller and we are your processor. A separate data processing agreement governs that relationship and takes precedence over these terms on anything to do with personal data. See our Privacy Policy for what is processed and by whom.

09Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
